At Maximum Electrical, we recently completed a comprehensive electrical fit-out for a new commercial shed and office development built by ZAM Builders. Designed to support a growing design and manufacturing business, the project combined modern functionality, future-proofed infrastructure, and a premium finish to create a workspace that is ready for both today's demands and tomorrow's opportunities.
A Commercial Building Built for Performance
The development features a spacious clear-span workshop with a striking mono-pitch roof, a 10-metre-wide tilt door, dedicated assembly and storage areas, and a modern office and showroom space. With flexibility being a key requirement, the electrical installation was designed to adapt alongside the evolving needs of the business.
Premium Lighting for Function and Style
Lighting plays a critical role in any commercial environment. For this project, we selected high-performance LED lighting that delivers excellent flood illumination throughout both indoor and outdoor working areas, while also incorporating subtle perimeter accent lighting to enhance the building's appearance. The result is a clean, professional environment that balances practicality with aesthetics.
Future-Proofed Power Infrastructure
As businesses grow, their power requirements often change. To ensure this facility can evolve without major disruption, we installed a network of cable ways across each workshop bay and along the rear of the building. These pathways provide simple access for future equipment installations and system upgrades.
All services are connected back to a centrally located, purpose-built switchboard with spare capacity for future expansion. The system has also been designed with provisions for backup generation, emergency lighting, and exit lighting, ensuring the site is prepared for future operational and compliance requirements.
High-Speed Connectivity and Security
Reliable communications infrastructure is essential for modern businesses. To support day-to-day operations, security systems, and camera monitoring, we installed a fibre network connecting buildings across the site. This provides the data capacity and reliability needed to support current technology while allowing for future growth.
